    Kurtis Heimerl is an Associate Professor at the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science and Engineering, and serves as a technical advisor at Madrona Venture Labs. He is dedicated to improving internet access, especially in underserved areas, and has co-founded Endaga, a mobile platform enabling independent cellular networks for rural communities, which was acquired by Meta.

    Hi, I’m Hawa! I founded cseed in 2023 with the mission of transforming UW’s engineering culture into one fueled by passion, entrepreneurship, experimentation, and creativity.

    From 2023–2025, I had the joy of serving as president, growing cseed into a thriving community and working alongside an incredible team to bring our new ideas to life. Now, I’m excited to continue shaping its future as an advisor and supporting the next generation of student builders.

    Outside of cseed, I’m endlessly curious about design, craft, and engineering. You’ll often find me taking long walks, exploring new ideas, and learning about the world. Feel free to reach out to me anytime!

    Harshitha was part of cseed’s founding team in 2023 and served as our Director of Internal Outreach from 2023–2025. In that time, she hosted events that reached 1,000+ students, from fireside chats and panels to socials that brought builders together across disciplines. Her work played a key role in shifting UW’s culture toward one where creativity, experimentation, and building thrive.

    Now as an advisor, Harshitha continues to bring her passion for community and her eye for connection to help guide cseed’s next chapter. She graduated in 2025 and is currently working at Vercept, helping build the computer interface of the future!
